    Sales Associate Representative

    Description

    • Our client in the Cross-Border Payment industry is seeking a Sales Associate Representative to drive business growth by identifying and acquiring businesses that require API-based payment solutions.

    Job Summary

    • The Sales Associate Representative will focus on selling API payment solutions to logistics companies, international trading firms, and cross-border businesses operating between China/Asia and Africa.
    • This role requires an understanding of cross-border payment flows, merchant needs, and how APIs integrate into global payment platforms such as PayChina and similar systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and engage Chinese and Asian focused logistics companies, merchants, and trading firms sending goods to Nigeria/Africa.
    • Promote API based payment solutions that support cross-border transactions and settlements.
    • Build strong relationships with companies needing seamless payment integrations into their platforms.
    • Conduct technical and product level discussions with clients, supported by the internal technical team.
    • Maintain and grow a pipeline of high value clients across Asia focused markets.
    • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to relay client needs and improve API functionalities.
    • Monitor industry developments, regulatory updates, and competitor solutions in cross-border payment APIs.
    • Achieve sales and revenue targets for the API product line.
    • Prepare proposals, client documentation, and periodic sales reports.
    • Represent the company in international online meetings, demos, and presentations.

    Requirements

    • First degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields
    • 2 - 5 years of experience in B2B sales, especially in API sales, cross-border payments, fintech, or logistics technology.
    • Experience selling into or supporting clients in China and the broader Asian market is an added advantage.
    • Understanding of API-based integrations and cross-border payment systems.
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts in simple business language.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
    • Proactive, Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently.
