    Religion and National Values Teacher

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Religion and National Values Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and guide students in understanding ethical principles, religious teachings, and the importance of national values in building a cohesive society. This role involves delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that promote critical thinking, moral development, and respect for diversity while fostering a sense of patriotism and responsible citizenship.

    Key Responsibilities

    Curriculum Delivery:

    • Develop and deliver lessons on religion, ethics, civic education, and national values, aligned with the school's curriculum and relevant educational standards.
    • Incorporate diverse perspectives on religious beliefs and practices while fostering inclusivity and mutual respect.

    Student Engagement:

    • Promote a learning environment that encourages open discussions, critical thinking, and empathy among students.
    • Support students in understanding how ethical and national values shape responsible citizenship and community development.

    Classroom Management:

    • Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
    • Employ innovative teaching methods, including interactive activities, multimedia tools, and case studies, to engage students.

    Assessment and Reporting:

    • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
    • Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and maintain accurate student records.

    Extracurricular Activities:

    • Organize or participate in events, clubs, and activities that promote civic responsibility, moral values, and cultural awareness.

    Collaboration:

    • Work with colleagues and school leadership to develop and implement cross-curricular activities.
    • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.

    Compliance:

    • Adhere to school policies and uphold professional ethics in teaching and interaction with students and colleagues.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Education:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Moral Education, Social Studies, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed.) is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience teaching religion and/or civic education at the primary level.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of religious studies, ethical frameworks, and civic principles.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
    • Ability to foster inclusivity and respect for diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia into teaching.
    • Organizational and time-management skills for lesson planning and grading.
