The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening business relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders within the assigned region. The role focuses on driving portfolio growth, delivering value-adding financial solutions, maintaining strong asset quality, and ensuring full compliance with CreditAssist’s credit policies, investment governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Implement regional business strategies in alignment with squad, unit, and organizational objectives.
Develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives to acquire and retain clients across key industry segments within the region.
Build, manage, and grow a healthy loan portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality.
Conduct client interviews, process loan applications, perform financial analysis, and prepare credit approval memoranda in line with CAIL credit policies.
Ensure rigorous documentation, timely underwriting, and proactive relationship management to minimize loan losses.
Monitor loan performance and follow up on overdue obligations, ensuring timely initiation of recovery actions where required.
Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular engagement, client visits, and service reviews.
Identify regional market opportunities for new products, industries, and client segments.
Accompany management on client calls to deepen relationships, enhance service quality, and promote CAIL’s offerings.
Recommend financial service proposals within approved authority limits.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of client requests.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide regional market insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Participate in the development and recommendation of competitive financial products tailored to regional needs.
Conduct regular industry, market, and competitor analysis within the assigned region.
Stay informed on regulatory and policy changes affecting lending, operations, and security.
Uphold CreditAssist’s investment governance standards in all regional activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management, preferably within financial services or lending
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
Strong ability to prospect, generate leads, and convert opportunities into active clients
Experience in managing and growing client portfolios across different market segments
Excellent relationship management and customer engagement skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
Good understanding of market dynamics and competitive positioning
Ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate target markets
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client needs and recommend suitable solutions
High level of professionalism, resilience, and a target-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems
Willingness to engage in fieldwork, client visits, and travel within the assigned region
