    Reconciliation Officer

    SUMMARY

    The officer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of transactions reconciled from bank statements to portfolios, and third-party clients on core applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Daily and monthly bank reconciliation
    • Intercompany Reconciliation
    • General ledger reconciliations
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports
    • Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
    • Reconcile discrepancies in different accounts
    • The ability to identify the root cause of any discrepancies and take the right action to eliminate them to prevent further variances.
    • Continuously implement ways to improve reconciliation processes and controls.
    • Stakeholder interactions and regular communication with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve any daily or month-end queries
    • Supporting the month-end process
    • Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or any related Degree.
    • 1+ years of relevant experience.
    • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
    • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and presentation skills
    • Ability to manage relationships across diverse groups of people
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision and function in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
    • Must be a professional individual with strong time management skills
    • Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement and excellence
    • Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress in a coordinated and rational manner.
    • Ability to identify errors
    • Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes
    • Appropriate handling of sensitive information
    • Ability to work to deadlines
    • High level of attention to details.
