    Radiologist

    Job Summary:

    • The Radiologist at Redeemers Health Village is a medical professional specializing in the interpretation of medical images to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries. This role involves performing and interpreting various imaging procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
    • The Radiologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic process, providing accurate and timely interpretations to guide patient treatment and management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Diagnostic Imaging Interpretation:

    • Interpret medical images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine studies, to diagnose diseases and injuries.
    • Analyze images for abnormalities, anomalies, and signs of medical conditions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Provide comprehensive and timely radiology reports with findings and recommendations for patient management.

    Procedure Performance:

    • Perform imaging-guided procedures, such as biopsies, aspirations, and image-guided injections, as needed.
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, addressing any concerns or complications that may arise.
    • Collaborate with radiology technologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging techniques and quality.

    Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to discuss imaging findings and develop appropriate treatment plans.
    • Provide consultations and expertise on imaging-related matters to healthcare providers across different specialties.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and protocols for imaging procedures and interpretations.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities to enhance the quality and accuracy of radiology services.

    Patient Care and Communication:

    • Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, addressing patient concerns and ensuring clear communication throughout the imaging process.
    • Educate patients and their families about imaging procedures, expected outcomes, and follow-up recommendations.
    • Foster a supportive and respectful environment for patients and their caregivers during imaging examinations.

    Qualifications:

    • Medical degree (MBBS) from an accredited medical school.
    • Residency training in diagnostic radiology and Accreditation.
    • Board certification or eligibility in diagnostic radiology or equivalent certifying body.
    • Valid medical license to practice radiology.
    • Strong diagnostic skills, proficiency in medical imaging interpretation, and familiarity with imaging software and technology.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and continuous quality improvement in radiology practice.
