Quantity Surveyor at Asset Management Group

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Asset Management Group Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pricing, forecasting, and managing the costs of construction projects to ensure value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, and other construction professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Forecasting:

• Price and forecast the cost of different components required for projects.
• Prepare budget projections and track changes in design or construction work, adjusting budget estimates accordingly.

Procurement and Sourcing:

• Select and source high-quality construction materials.
• Identify and engage contractors and subcontractors for various stages of the construction process.

Measurement and Valuation:

• Measure and value the work completed on-site to ensure accurate payment and cost control.
• Manage the financial aspects of the project, including paying subcontractors.

Financial and Legal Management:

• Address financial and legal issues related to the construction project.
• Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Liaise with clients and other construction professionals, including site managers, project managers, and site engineers, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Communicate cost implications of design decisions and any changes in the project scope.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, cost estimation, and contract management.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, cost estimation tools, and project management software.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
