Job Description

A Support Technician, or pump team supervisor also known as a Technical Support Specialist, provides assistance and resolution to customers or internal teams with technical issues or problems. Their primary goal is to ensure timely and effective support, ensuring minimal disruption to operations or services working with the team leads.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of retail filling station equipment.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, using diagnostic techniques and tools.
• Respond to customer inquiries, providing clear explanations and solutions.
• Resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or experts.
• Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and customer interactions.
• Contribute to and update the knowledge base, sharing expertise with the team.
• Work with internal teams, such as development, sales, or marketing, to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in training and development to stay up-to-date with new technologies and products.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent future technical issues.
• Timely and appropriate reporting of these activities to the supervisor
• Inter-phasing with the team leads and the head of unit.

Qualifications

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5years experience
• Must have excellent communication skill
• High cognitive & organizational skills.
• Problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of related Health and Safety Standards.
