As Group PM for Logistics Optimization at Jumia, you will lead the development and implementation of products and systems that maximize operational efficiency, drive automation, and enhance user experiences across all our markets. You will collaborate closely with engineering, data, commercial, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions that directly impact Jumia's bottom line.
What you will be doing
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for optimization products (e.g., pricing, logistics, supply chain, process automation) across the Jumia group.
Analyze business processes to identify areas of improvement, automation, or cost reduction.
Work with cross-functional teams (tech, data, commercial, operations) to translate business needs into actionable product features and requirements.
Drive project execution from ideation through launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
Monitor product performance, set KPIs, and iterate based on data-driven insights.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation.
Communicate product vision, roadmaps, and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
What we are looking for
Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, first, middle and last mile operations, or process optimization at scale.
Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience working with tech, data, and operations teams on complex products.
Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Proficiency in tools for product/project management (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and analytics (SQL, Tableau, etc.).
Fluency in English; French is a "plus".
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or similar is a "plus".
