Project Manager (Fiber Optic Network Rollout) at Alfreda Fields Limited

Major Responsibilities

• The Fibre Optic Network Rollout Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the equipment providers (FO), subcontractors (civil engineering), technical teams and the customer.
• The Project Manager is part of a high-performing team responsible for the deployment and operation of a world class aerial fibre optic network in Lagos metropolis.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Coordinate projects schedules
• Develop and maintain customer relationships
• Create and implement technical inspection and quality assurance procedures,
• Interface with inter-departmental virtual groups like Design & Planning team, Network Operations and Product Management team to deliver the network infrastructure to quality, time and within budget.
• Sales and/or technical support training & experience.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree or above Degree in Engineering, Telecoms, IT or any other relevant discipline.
• Relevant professional/technical certifications.
• PG Degree in relevant discipline will an advantage.
• Minimum Seven (7) years eexperience in the Fibre Optic Network deployment, troubleshooting and Fibre optic issues, strong understanding of utility distribution networks and project management.
• Cognate experience in aerial fibre deployment will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of project planning software, customer requirements, and market.
• Ability to read, evaluate and interpret schematics, diagrams and maps.
• A high level of personal motivation and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work within a team as well as individually and result focused.
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Quick learner, hard worker and good commercial awareness.
• Fluent in English and the local languages.
