Procurement Officer (Construction & Real Estate) at DreamCity Properties

Job Summary

• We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Procurement Officer with a minimum of 5 years of specific experience in the construction and real estate sector.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials, equipment, and services essential for our diverse projects.
• You will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain, mitigating risks, and contributing to the overall profitability and success of our developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic procurement plans for multiple construction projects, including apartments, mixed-use buildings, and engineering infrastructure.
• Source, evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure the most favorable terms for pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and tender documents in line with project specifications.
• Manage the entire purchase order process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and project budgets.
• Conduct thorough market research and supplier vetting to identify new vendors and ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain for construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, MEP systems).
• Implement robust cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives without compromising on quality or safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Collaborate closely with the project management, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and financial constraints.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance, inventory levels, and procurement KPIs to management.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and company ethical standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Procurement Officer, specifically within the real estate and construction industry.
• Professional certification is an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, building codes, construction methodologies, and engineering infrastructure requirements.
• Demonstrable experience with tender management, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced projectenvironment.
