    Primary Section Mathematics Teacher

    Role Description:

    • This is a full-time, on-site Primary Section Mathematics Teacher role based in Oshogbo. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s blended curriculum, ensuring that learning objectives are clear, measurable, and age-appropriate. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching resources, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and using a variety of teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance understanding. The teacher will assess and track pupils’ progress through classwork, homework, tests, and formative assessments, providing timely feedback to learners and guardians. Additional duties include maintaining a positive and orderly classroom environment, participating in staff meetings and professional development, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum initiatives, and contributing to school events and co-curricular activities.

    Qualifications

    • Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to primary-aged learners.
    • Proven experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, preferably within the British Curriculum and/or Nigerian curriculum framework.
    • Status as a Qualified Teacher, with a relevant teaching license or certification and a degree in Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated classroom management skills, with the ability to create inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environments.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
    • Comfort with educational technology and digital learning tools to support instruction and assessment.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development, reflective practice, and alignment with the school’s vision, mission, and values.
    • Prior experience teaching primary mathematics in an international or blended-curriculum school setting is an advantage.
