Under the supervision of the Tdh WASH OFFICER, the Preventive Maintenance Volunteer will support the supervision of H4H preventive maintenance activities in 13 public Primary Schools(intervention schools) within MMC and Jere.
This position will take responsibility of day to day-to-day supervision activities of preventive maintenance.
Therefore, Tdh would wish to engage the service of volunteers from this local to undertake the tasks mentioned below for an initial period of 6 months.
Technical support during Graviteau installation, reinstallation, and cleaning activities in schools.
Monitoring and supervision, maintenance, and refilling of handwashing systems in schools.
Support the WASH team during the microbial test and integrity testing of the Graviteau handwashing devices.
Mobilization of school children during H4H project activities.
Report any issues during preventive maintenance activities to the Tdh WASH team.
Responsible for data collection on a monthly basis for Graviteau monitoring.
Monitoring and supervision of WASH infrastructures in H4H intervention schools.
Support schools’ management to achieve a hygienic and clean school environment.
Distribution of cleaning materials to schools’ management.
Compile Data from weekly activities and share with the WASH team.
Participate in training workshops and thematic exercises as per needs identified.
Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
Other ad hoc tasks as requested by the Line Manager.

Fully comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and ensure Child Safeguarding Policy is upheld at all requirements.
Ensure adherence to Tdh standards and quality requirements in all the project activities.
Requirements
Minimum of Diploma in Lab science,Health Education or relevant experience.
Experience in humanitarian, WASH is an advantage.
Must have experience in working with children.
Good verbal communication and listening skills.
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Kanuri Language. (speaking/reading/writing).
Above 18 years old
Ability to read write and communicate in English.
Experience in technical and innovative ideas.
Assets
Involvement in emergency and humanitarian projects in WASH.
Experience in engaging directly with children, facilitating children’s activities and/or facilitating children’s participation in FGD, interviews, etc.
