PR & Communications Lead at HelpMum

Role Overview

• The PR & Communications Lead will shape and implement the organization’s communication strategy across Dobic Health and HelpMum.
• This role is responsible for strengthening brand visibility, managing media relations, storytelling, and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across all internal and external channels.

Responsibilities
Strategic Communications:

• Develop and execute comprehensive PR and communications strategies for our organizations
• Lead crisis communication planning and reputation management
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media houses, influencers, and partners

Content Development:

• Oversee the creation of high-quality content for social media, newsletters, blogs, websites, and campaigns
• Manage storytelling initiatives that highlight impact, beneficiaries, and innovations
• Ensure consistent brand tone, style, and visual identity across all social media platforms

Digital Communications:

• Lead social media strategy, content calendars, and engagement metrics
• Monitor analytics and optimize content for visibility, reach, and impact

Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and ads
• Develop monthly PR plans and templates

Qualifications & Skills

• Female candidates preferably
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage
• 3–5+ years of experience in PR/Communications, within health, tech, NGO, or social impact sectors
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
• Proven experience managing media relations and digital communications
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate with diverse teams
• Familiarity with content management and social media platforms
