Portfolio Manager at Comercio Partners

Job Purpose:

• Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing pooled and separately managed portfolios. Providing financial advice and services to private and corporate clients on a range of investment matters, including buying and selling unit/investment trusts and shares/bonds and other alternative assets.

Core Duties:

Portfolio Management

• Managing multi-asset and Multi-currency portfolios, including long-only and long/short strategies
• Monitor the execution of the investment process, and ensure portfolio construction is aligned with the process and asset allocation outlook
• Contribute to the asset allocation strategy and adjust on a tactical and strategic basis
• Ensure all mandates conform to performance expectations, investment guidelines, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements
• Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly investment review meetings to share investment viewpoints
• Recommends investment timing and buy-and-sell orders to the investment committee
• Assessing portfolio investment performance and analyzing the drivers of results
• Develop/apply analysis and reporting tools for evaluating investment activities

Research

• Summarise data describing current and long-term trends in investment risks and economic influences pertinent to investments
• Analyse financial information concerning price, yield, and stability, to forecast business and industry for use in making investment decisions
• Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects and financial statements to determine suitable investment strategies.
• Prepare macroeconomic views and insights as well as opinions on the outlook for equity markets in partnership with Research.
• Contribute to the company’s quarterly investment commentary and provide ongoing communication with both internally
• Create and circulate concise and insightful weekly updates to Clients and others using both internal and external (Bloomberg, etc.) data sources
• Write up reports for Funds and Portfolios periodically to fulfil client and regulatory requirements
• Ensure peer- analysis template of funds is kept up to date

Administrative Support

• Contribute to commercial activities by working with origination in new product launches and client servicing
• Monitor closely financial press and keep track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree is essential, and a master's degree/CFA holder is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in research and portfolio management in the investment industry
• Solid understanding of investment theory, economics, equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes
• Familiar with SEC regulations and relevant compliance laws
• Experience in fundamental investment analysis, modelling, and valuation for assessing asset classes and securities Very good knowledge of investment and asset management.
• Demonstrated experience in asset allocation and portfolio construction
• Familiar with Macro/Microeconomics
• Familiar with Bloomberg-System
• Strong risk management awareness
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• An analytical and problem-solving mind
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
