Job Summary

• The Plastic Production Officer is responsible for overseeing the processing of PET materials from collection through to preparation for recycling.
• This role involves managing processing operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
• The officer will collaborate with various teams to support the overall goals of the recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities
Material Handling and Processing:

• Supervise the sorting, cleaning, and processing of PET materials.
• Ensure materials are processed in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
• Monitor equipment operation and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Quality Control:

• Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the integrity of processed materials.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests on processed PET to maintain quality standards.
• Address any quality issues promptly and develop corrective action plans.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all processing activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety within the processing team.
• Maintain accurate records of processing operations and compliance audits.

Process Optimization:

• Analyze processing workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

Team Management:

• Supervise and train processing staff, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• Experience: 5 years of previous experience in material processing, recycling operations, or manufacturing preferred.
