    People Operations Officer

    Role

    • We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly skilled individual who will have primary responsibility for influencing and supporting the people strategy within the Carbon - collaboratively working to develop, optimize and implement people processes and programs while overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities associated with people operation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Treat employees as internal customers and increase their satisfaction.
    • Support employees on a day-to-day basis and answer questions about benefits and company policies.
    • Onboard new employees and ensure they have access to necessary resources and tech.
    • Ensure the delivery of critical people operations processes e.g. relocations (global mobility services), unemployment claims, offboarding, and job information changes including compensation, promotions, and transfers.
    • Accountable for HRIS data including team member records and information changes such as promotions, terminations, and transfers. 
    • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all people data both in the HRIS and ancillary systems.
    • Send confirmation emails to employees
    • Take full ownership of team member documentation including contracts, amendments, and all other items pertinent to the team member lifecycle.
    • Support the HCM team i.e. administration of various surveys, conduct exit and stay interviews, and provide useful data to guide decision making
    • Handle payroll 
    • Manage HMO and vendors including contract employees
    • Manage EarlyPay and Employee Loan approvals
    • Provide oversight for Carbon offices.
    • Birthdays and work anniversaries celebration announcements in a timely manner.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree with related majors e.g. Human Resources (HR), Industrial Psychology or Business Management
    • 3+ years experience in a generalist role ideally within a tech company with exposure to either an all-remote or hybrid environment (minimum).
    • Proven work experience or similar role managing people
    • Good use of Microsoft and Google Suite
    • Experience with Bamboo
    • CIPM or SHRM is an added plus
    • Attention to detail
    • The ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment   
    • Willingness and drive to challenge the status quo  
    • Strong problem solving and organizational skills - able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and occasionally ambiguous environment.
    • Able to use discretion and handle highly sensitive information.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions.
    • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within Carbon.
