    Payroll Specialist

    Job Summary

    • As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in the Human Resources department by ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, including calculating wages and salaries, managing deductions, and maintaining payroll records, while adhering to payroll laws and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax and benefit deductions.
    • Entering and managing payroll data in payroll systems and databases.
    • Work with HRBPs to collate employees’ data, KPIs and approvals from departmental heads.
    • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
    • Calculating employees’ salaries, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions (taxes, insurance, etc.).
    • Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
    • Staying up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations and ensuring compliance with all applicable rules.
    • Creating periodic payroll reports for management, accounting, and other stakeholders.
    • Managing employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
    • Other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other related field.
    • Prior experience of three or more years in the payroll field.
    • Excellent communication, time-management and interpersonal skills.
    • Must possess data analytical skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of local laws and regulations.
    • A problem solver with a curious mindset and quick decision-making ability.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, resource and time-constrained environment.
    • Excel in a confidential work environment.
    • Flexibility to different business needs with detail-oriented skills to review large data sets accurately.
    • Hands-on experience in handling payroll.
    • Detail-oriented and able to maintain data accuracy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
