    Outdoor Catering Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Manage a team of catering staff for successful execution of catering events.
    • Perform staff management, expense control, menu selection, food preparation and equipment rental to ensure profitable event.
    • Explore business opportunities to obtain new orders.
    • Develop a positive working relationship with existing customers for repeat business.
    • Develop a marketing plan to promote catering operations to individuals and organizations.
    • Respond to customer inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Prepare comprehensive catering order form according to client’s requirements and interest
    • Recruit and train permanent and casual staff.
    • Organize, lead and motivate the catering team.
    • Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed.
    • Budget and establish financial targets and forecasts.
    • Monitor the quality of the product and service provided.
    • Keep financial and administrative records.
    • Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required.
    • Negotiate contracts with customers, assess their requirements and ensure they are satisfied with the service delivered.
    • Oversee food preparation, transportation, and set-up activities to ensure a successful event.
    • Maximize sales and meet profit and financial expectations.
    • Oversee the management of facilities, e.g., check event bookings and allocation of resources/staff.
    • Plan new promotions and initiatives and contribute to business development.
    • Keep abreast with trends and developments in the industry, such as menus or trends in consumer tastes.

    Requirements

    • B.sc in any field with a minimum of 5 years experience in the management of outdoor Catering in a quick-service industry.
    • Previous experience of working in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
    • Team player with leadership capability Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to seek and develop new relationships.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Commitment and integrity.
    • Good planning & organizational skills
    • Good Negotiation & persuasion skills
    • Effective management of customer expectations
