Operations Lead (Engineering Background Required) at Majeurs

The Role

• We are seeking an Operations Lead (Engineering background required) to drive operational excellence on our factory floor.
• The ideal candidate will lead production processes, improve efficiency, ensure quality, and optimize costs while aligning with our eco-conscious values.
• This is a performance-driven leadership role where success will be measured by KPIs in machine capacity, labour productivity, quality control, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily factory operations, ensuring lean processes and continuous improvement.
• Manage production schedules, machine utilization, staff allocation, and line balancing.
• Track and improve productivity, cost per unit, material waste, and maintenance performance.
• Ensure ≥70% machine uptime through preventive maintenance.
• Maintain finished-goods quality with ≤2% rework rate.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production failures and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce 5S and safety standards (target: 0 incidents, ≥90% compliance).
• Train and coach factory staff to enhance skills and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Accounts, Logistics, and Procurement teams for seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records (≤2% variance).

Ideal Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (required).
• 4+ years’ experience managing factory operations or production teams.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, and process mapping.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel/Google Sheets).

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: N300,000 - N500,000 / month (based on experience).
• Performance Bonus: ₦100,000 monthly (linked to KPIs).
