    National Sales Manager - Modern Trade

    Job Summary

    • As the National Sales Manager (Modern Trade), you will be responsible for leading nationwide sales operations across retail and key account channels.
    • You will drive market penetration, expand brand visibility, and execute a strong commercial strategy that accelerates both sell-in and sell-out performance.
    • This role requires mature leadership, deep industry knowledge, and full ownership of commercial outcomes while reporting directly to the Managing Director.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage nationwide modern trade operations including regional managers, area managers, key account teams, merchandisers, and field representatives
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to grow market share, expand listings, and strengthen retail execution
    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with major retailers, distributors, and key accounts to secure and retain listings
    • Assess the current sales structure and implement required changes to build a high-performance, accountable team
    • Drive strong in-store execution including merchandising, pricing, promotions, sampling, visibility, and planogram compliance.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is an added advantage
    • 10–15 years’ experience in sales leadership within F&B, FMCG, or retail-focused environments
    • Strong modern trade experience with proven success across large supermarkets, retail chains, and key accounts
    • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse sales teams and deliver consistent commercial results
    • Deep market understanding, strong strategic thinking, and resilience in competitive environments.
