Job Description

• A Management Information System/ Business Intelligence Specialist with hands-on experience in analyzing/ mining data, developing business insights and reports from diverse data sources including databases is required to join a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting/improving existing in-house developed reporting scripts and report generation tools.
• Ensuring delivery of projects/requests according to agreed timeline and excellent user experience.
• Gathering and developing user specifications requirement documents for every service request or project initiative.
• Analyzing all available data sets and mining different data sources with a view of developing suitable scripts to support requests.
• Data visualization and report generation using relevant software.
• Automating repetitive/recurrent report requests generation.
• User training and solution handover.

Experience/ Technical skills

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or any other Technology disciplines (e.g. Engineering, Physics)
• 3-4 years practical experience in MIS/Business Intelligence Reporting.
• Expertise and hands on experience in translating user/customer requirements into database queries and scripts which produces outputs inform of reports that meets their expectations. These reports will include data tables, dashboards and visuals that are easily interpreted by business users.
• Expertise and hands on experience with programming languages/technologies such as Python, Oracle PL/SQL and generally working with data on different relational and non- relational Database Management Systems (DBMS).
• Expertise and hands on data analytics and presentation (visualization) experience/skills with software like Crystal reports and Tableau.
• Good knowledge of data science using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib etc.
• Experience in building and managing data report servers.
• Working knowledge of relational database (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server).
• Working knowledge of other database systems (e.g. MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP).
• Knowledge of basic operations of Linux server.
• Good problem solving and logical thinking skills (ability to transform business requirements into programmable solutions).
• Good Communication skills.
• Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple organizational units (multitenancy).
