Cybersecurity Instructor at Abuja Data School

Role Description

• The Cybersecurity Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja.
• The instructor will design and deliver cybersecurity courses, including lectures, hands-on labs, and real-world projects covering core areas such as application, network, and information security.
• Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, updating curriculum content to reflect current industry practices, assessing learner performance, and providing individualized feedback and mentoring.
• The instructor will also support learners in building practical cybersecurity skills, guide them in using relevant tools and frameworks, and contribute to continuous improvement of training programs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to teach fundamental concepts and best practices.
• Practical expertise in Network Security, including secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience in Application Security, such as secure coding principles, vulnerability assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of Malware Analysis, including identification, basic reverse engineering concepts, and defensive techniques.
• Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience, preferably in a technical or cybersecurity context.
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to learners with varying levels of experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
