Position Summary

• We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Microbiology Lecturer to join our faculty. Successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in microbiology, advising students, and contributing to the growth and development of the College.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate students’ learning and contribute to curriculum development.
• Coordinate classroom and laboratory activities, evaluate student learning and maintain academic records and attendance.
• Develop scholarly pedagogic outputs such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
• Promote collegiality within the academic community by serving on committees, participating in faculty and staff meetings and departmental activities.
• Stay current in the academic discipline through professional development opportunities.
• Be available for academic support outside of the classroom.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

• B.Sc. in Microbiology.
• Must possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
• Good knowledge of ICT and e-learning tools.
