Shalina Diagnostics, an arm of Shalina Healthcare, provides top-tier diagnostic services. As part of our commitment to affordable and accessible healthcare in Africa, the Medical Radiographer/Sonographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and other medical imaging examinations.
What to expect:
Perform and interpret high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, ultrasounds, and specialized radiographic studies.
Ensure accurate patient positioning and appropriate selection of imaging techniques for diagnostic accuracy.
Operate and maintain radiology and sonography equipment in compliance with safety standards.
Adhere to radiation protection protocols for patients, staff, and self.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
Participate in quality control, audits, and continuous professional development activities.
Train and mentor junior staff or interns, when required.
Essential education, experience and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
Current practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
Certification or formal training in Ultrasound/Sonography is highly desirable.
Minimum of 3–4 years relevant experience in a diagnostic or hospital setting.
Proficiency in both radiographic imaging and ultrasound techniques.
