Medical Doctor at Westcare Specialist Hospital

Location: Egbeda, Lagos 

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing medical care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays.
• Prescribing medications and other treatments as necessary.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Providing counselling and education to patients about their health conditions and treatment options.
• Monitoring patients\' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
• Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)
• 2- 5 years experience as a Medical officer
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal skills, and must have a good rapport with people.
• Have the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Proactive approach and capable of working within a team.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
