Mechanical Supervisor – Conveying Systems at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• Supervise and carry out cost effective and efficient Mechanical maintenance, repairs and services of all machinery in the head house and conveying systems.

The Job

• Supervise and carry out maintenance and other assignments as instructed for effective and efficient performance of mechanical systems in Offal and Pelletizing
• Conduct inspections, ensure that safety procedures are being adhered to and maintain inventory of machine parts. Troubleshooting mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
• Ensure mechanical technicians follow predetermined checklist in performance of preventative maintenance of facility mechanical equipment and systems.
• Utilize designs and drawings to plan and layout installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and ensure applicable project specifications and industry standards are adequately satisfied.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.
• Enforce the compliance of team members with safety, health and environment standards

Qualifications

•  5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings/Technical qualifications.
• OND in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in a similar role in electrical maintenance, preferably in milling or FMCG.

The Person Must:

• Have solid knowledge of mechanical maintenance and pellet press mill operations and maintenance.
• Be skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing mechanical components and rolling equipment.
• Possess strong leadership skills to supervise technicians and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Maintain high safety standards, precision, and efficiency in all mechanical operations
