Mechanical (FMN Holdings - Technical) at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• To carry out mechanical fitting activities within the company and its subsidiaries to support machine maintenance work according to set objective

The Job

• Fitting and assembly of structural frameworks and housing
• Carry out installation, servicing and repair of factory machinery including pumps, gear boxes, drives, etc.
• Produce machine components using relevant hand tools
• Fabrication of material handling equipment, conveyors, elevators for Flour Mills and subsidiaries
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on the packing machines to minimize equipment downtime.
• Replace damaged, worn, or defective structural and mechanical components as required.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with maintenance plans and operational requirements.
• Report the general condition of equipment and recommend replacement when necessary to supervisor.

Qualifications

• 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade.
• NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, or industrial equipment repairs.

The Person Must:

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess sound mechanical fitting and welding skills.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis capabilities.
• Have good fabrication and equipment installation skills.
