    Utilities Electrician

    • The key purpose of the Utilities Electrician is to be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in brewery utility plants. 
    • This includes compressors, boilers, refrigeration systems, water treatment plants, generators, pumps, electrical distribution systems, and other utility equipment to ensure continuous and efficient brewery operations.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Electrical Maintenance:

    • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on utility equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, drives, and power distribution systems.
    • Install, maintain, and test electrical wiring, switchgear, and protective devices.
    • Carry out routine inspections of utility equipment to identify potential failures.

    Equipment Operation and Monitoring:

    • Monitor the performance of compressors, chillers, boilers, refrigeration systems, and water treatment plants.
    • Ensure all utility equipment operates within specified parameters.
    • Respond promptly to equipment alarms and breakdowns.

    Automation and Control Systems:

    • Maintain PLCs, sensors, VSDs, instrumentation, and control circuits.
    • Troubleshoot motor control circuits, contactors, relays, and automation systems.
    • Calibrate electrical instruments and process control devices when required.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work systems.
    • Ensure compliance with brewery safety standards and statutory regulations.
    • Participate in risk assessments and safety improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain proper housekeeping in utility and electrical areas.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Record maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and equipment history.
    • Update maintenance logs, checklists, and spare parts records.
    • Prepare reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Recommend energy-saving initiatives and process improvements.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects.
    • Support installation and commissioning of new utility equipment.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Utility equipment availability and reliability.
    • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
    • Preventive maintenance compliance rate.
    • Reduction in unplanned downtime.
    • Safety performance and zero electrical incidents.
    • Energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.

    Key Attributes and Competencies: 

    • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and motor control circuits.
    • Experience with PLCs, VSDs, compressors, refrigeration systems, and generators.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
    • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
    • Computer literacy and ability to use maintenance management systems (CMMS).

    Minimum Requirements

    • HND, OND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
    • Trade Test certification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 2–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a brewery or food and beverage industry.

    Packaging Operator

    • The key purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes in order to achieve optimal effectiveness​. 

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Operating equipment and manage associated processes & performance in packaging​
    • Interpret and implement production plan for shift​
    • Operate manual and automatic machines online as per standards​
    • Ensure process quality and productivity​
    • Perform administration work such as tracking and monitoring of processes and take action when required​
    • Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends​
    • Use of OFR’s (As per triggers)​
    • Contribute towards AB reports as required​
    • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment​.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
    • Alternatively, a relevant post-secondary technical qualification (N4 or equivalent).
    • IOB Certificate is an added advantage.
    • 1–3 years' experience operating packaging equipment in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in beverage, brewing, or food manufacturing will be an added advantage.
