    Mechanical Engineer - Fueling Station Systems

    Summary

    • The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems tailored for fueling stations.
    • This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting feasibility studies, overseeing installation and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop mechanical systems for fueling stations, encompassing pumps, storage tanks, piping, and dispensing systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and civil components.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost estimates for proposed mechanical designs.
    • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of mechanical systems at fueling stations.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to fueling station mechanical systems.
    • Research and implement innovative technologies and practices to enhance the efficiency and safety of fueling station mechanical systems.
    • Provide technical expertise and support during the planning and construction phases of new fueling stations, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and optimise existing mechanical systems to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and minimise operational costs.
    • Any other related duty assigned.

    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus.

    Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

    • Minimum of 8 years experience in designing and implementing mechanical systems, preferably with a focus on fueling station infrastructure.
    • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and material science.
    • Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations related to fueling station operations.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Proficiency in structural analysis and mechanical design software, with the ability to create and analyse complex 3D models and perform simulations for assessing mechanical system performance.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific best practices in the design and implementation of fueling station mechanical systems.
    • Strong background in sustainable engineering practices, including designing mechanical systems with an emphasis on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental sustainability within the context of fueling station operations.
