    Marketing Associate

    Role Description

    • We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Associate to spearhead our field marketing and strategic partnership initiatives. This role is the frontline engine for growth, requiring an individual who thrives on building relationships, negotiating partnerships, and directly driving patient acquisition across all hospital departments. You will be the face of The Hills Medical Centre in the community and with corporate entities, transforming our reputation into tangible partnerships and a steady stream of patients.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties

    Field Marketing & Strategic Outreach

    • Proactively identify, visit, and engage potential partner organizations, including corporations, SMEs, government agencies, unions, cooperatives, NGOs, and educational institutions.
    • Develop and pitch customised corporate retainership/partnership healthcare packages that meet the needs of organisations and their members.
    • Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements to secure long-term patient referrals and institutional contracts.
    • Organise and execute health talks, screenings, and wellness workshops at partner locations to generate leads and build brand loyalty.

    Patient Acquisition & Departmental Support

    • Work closely with clinical department heads (e.g., Dialysis, Paediatrics, Surgery, Cardiology) to understand their specific patient volume goals and service differentiators.
    • Develop targeted strategies and field activities to "pull in" patients for specific departments, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon targets.
    • Convert partnership agreements into activated patient referrals, ensuring a smooth handoff to the hospital's front desk and clinical teams.

    Marketing Support & Reporting

    • Maintain a detailed pipeline record of all field visits, proposals, and partnership statuses.
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports on field activities, partnership conversions, lead generation, and ROI of outreach efforts.
    • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align field activities with online campaigns and brand messaging.
    • Gather market intelligence from the field regarding competitor activity and community healthcare needs to inform broader marketing strategy.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
    • Proven 2+ years of experience in a field marketing, sales, or business development role, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or B2B services.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a confident and professional demeanour.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders, from corporate executives to union leaders.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a field schedule.
    • Excellent project management and organisational skills to juggle multiple partnerships and outreach initiatives.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite or Google Workspace (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides) and experience with CRM or EMR software.

    Highly Desirable:

    • Prior experience in the Nigerian healthcare sector with an understanding of hospital services and patient acquisition channels.
    • Existing network of contacts within corporate organisations, unions, or government bodies in Benin City and surrounding regions.
    • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
