Manager, Emerging Business - Design & Development at Amazon Energy Limited

A leading diversified energy services provider is looking to engage a Manager, New Business Opportunities - Design & Development (O&G, Energy, Power, Infrastructure) to be responsible for driving corporate growth through the collection, development, and launch of new solutions / business ventures, alongside the strategy team.

JOB OBJECTIVE(s)

• Responsible for driving the organisation's global growth strategy through the collection, development, and launch of new solutions, alongside the strategy team
• To conceptualize and drive a process and structure for innovation across the organization's portfolio.
• To identify and size potential opportunities for incubation, market validation, build-buy-partner analysis, business model design, and multi-year business plan development.
• To work closely with key counterparts and partners within the strategy, marketing, product management , Engineering, business development teams

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, evaluate and champion new business opportunities to address client needs, and inefficiencies in market based on findings from ideation stage, analysis of industry trends, competitive dynamics, investment trends, client insights, and the organisation's portfolio and capability assessment.
• Build relationships and partnerships with industry thought leaders, innovation hubs, university to help build the ideation pipeline and achieve critical goals.
• Lead business plan development for recommended investment / acquisition / partnership, including identifying stakeholder teams and establishing KPIs.
• Design, setup, run internal/external stakeholder ideation workshops to desired outcomes, liaise/facilitate cross-functional decision-making forums
• Develop and drive the adoption of standard process, structure, and tools to support the organizational ideation and New venture process

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
10 years’ post-graduation experience with at least 4 years cognate experience in the Oil and Gas industry and/or Consulting background and related job position and functions

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge

• Have a good understanding of the Energy (Oil, Gas, Energy & Power) business.
• Thorough knowledge of Strategy and Financial Analysis, Data Analytics, Corporate Performance Management, Project Management (Project Management certification is desirable) & Product Development

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• A good university degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or any other related field
• MBA and/or equivalent business experience gained in a broad business context is an advantage.
