    Maintenance Technician (Elevator)

    Department: Elevator
    Reports To: Operations Manager


    • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of system components and to select the equipment needed for installation
    • Test newly installed equipment to ensure that it meets specifications
    • Dismantle elevator or escalator units in order to gain access to remove and replace defective parts, using hoists, ladders, and hand/power tools.
    • Repair and/or replace faulty components in order to return elevator to fully operational status.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections of elevators and escalators on a scheduled basis to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
    • Keep service records of all maintenance and repair tasks
    • Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the workplace, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of Certificate of apprenticeship in Mechanical works.
    • Trade Test in relevant courses / OND in Mechanical Engineering or HND / B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering will be a plus.
    • 2 - 5 years of proven work experience as an Elevator Installation Mechanical Field Officer.


    • Knowledge and understanding of Elevators and Escalator.
    • Electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
    • Lockout/tag out Procedures.
    • Appropriate electrical and mechanical personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Able to build long term relationships with clients.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
    • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work under pressure.
