Logistics Assistant - Golden Penny Foods at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE
Support logistics and dispatch operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods in compliance with company policies and procedures.

THE JOB

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide updates to stakeholders on delivery status while resolving delays where necessary.
• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation including invoices, shipping records, and inventory reports.
• Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and suppliers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation to prevent discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in logistics operations.
• Support the logistics team in resolving transportation issues and optimizing delivery routes.
• Verify shipment details and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers and transporters.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of logistics records and reports.
• Assist in preparing logistics performance reports on efficiency, costs, and operational improvements.

THE PERSON MUST

• Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Possess good problem-solving ability to address logistics and transportation challenges.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Have strong attention to detail in managing logistics documentation.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION

• Strictly OND qualification holders in a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or dispatch operations.
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.
