Loan Management Officer at Decagon

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Update loan account status and database regularly.
• Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments.
• Locate and contact debtors and inquire about their payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans.
• Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
• Manage multiple delinquent accounts for debt collection efforts.
• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Handle questions or complaints.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or accounts.
• Ensure that salaries are domiciled in loan accounts.
• Any other duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Skill Sets

• BSc or HND in social sciences or other related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in credit management and debt collection.
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
• Good knowledge of MS Office suites.
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Speaking and listening skills.
• Prioritization skills.
• Attention to detail.
