The role holder is responsible for driving and promoting the listing of commodity-linked securities on the exchange by identifying, evaluating, and recommending potential issuers, ensuring a consistent growth in the number and quality of listings.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have to demonstrate innovative skills, analytical competence, as well as have a deep interest and understanding of the capital markets and the investment landscape, both domestic and foreign.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitors, and potential growth sectors.
Identify, cultivate, and onboard potential companies, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential listings.
Work closely with potential issuers, guiding them through the listings process.
Attend industry events, participate in roadshows, and conferences to promote the exchange as the preferred listing venue.
Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, such as investment banks, law firms, auditors, corporate finance houses, and other transaction advisers to guide companies to list commodity-linked instruments on the Exchange.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless processing of all listing applications.
Work on continuously refining and streamlining the listing process.
Ensure all listing applications are complete and meet the required standards.
Maintain up-to-date records of all communications and applications.
Organize workshops, seminars, and webinars for potential listees about the benefits and processes related to listing.
Analyze the viability, profitability, and risk associated with new listings on the Exchange.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and guidelines in the capital market.
Support in developing product marketing materials and training resources.
Track and evaluate the performance of new listings, using metrics to identify areas for improvement or modification.
Other duties
Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other activities as may be assigned.
Embark on trips within and outside Nigeria where necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
Knowledge of capital market regulations and listing requirements.
Proficient understanding of financial instruments, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills.
Expertise in data analysis tools and financial modelling software.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing market conditions.
