Legal officer job description contains a variety of functions and roles which includes:

• prepare and file legal documents, such as deed, contract, lawsuits and appeals.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems 
• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations 
• Communicate with clients 

Skills and requirements 

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in law 
• Minimum of two years litigation experience 
• Experience in legal drafting 
• Vast in corporate/real property law 
• Ability to work long hours when needed 
• Strong analytical and research skills 
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills 
• CAC accredited
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws and regulations with emphasis on commercial transactions, corporate and contract law, Intellectual Property and Employment law.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to details, excellent research skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Experience with corporate governance and regulatory compliance is a plus 
• Experience with Litigation, arbitration and mediation is a plus
