Assist in pre and post - meetings activities for the Group Board and all subsidiaries in and outside Nigeria
Preparation of board extracts and resolutions, as well as maintenance of an up-to-date schedule of signed board resolutions
Maintenance of an up-to-date registry for corporate documents e. g contracts, policies, title documents, statutory records including register of members, directors, shares register for each company within the Group.
Timely response to all company secretariat requests
Maintenance of an up-to-date schedule/checklist of regulatory filing for Alpha Mead companies in Nigeria and prompt notification to concerned departments for compliance
Undertake, monitor and timely closure of all corporate regulatory filing, registrations and procedures undertaken by CSL
Provision of corporate and legal support to the various Alpha Mead companies in the various countries of operation including contracts requests, legal advisory etc
Maintenance of an up to date schedule/checklist of regulatory filing for international business i.e. Alpha Mead companies in the different countries of operation and prompt notification to concerned departments for compliance
Management of relationship and interface with external counsel in the different countries of operation including follow-up for timely submission of monthly reports.
Provision of corporate and legal support to the various JVs and Allied Businesses in which the Group and any of its subsidiaries is involved including contracts requests, legal advisory etc
Contribution to the development and improvement of the CSL department
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in law
Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience as in-house counsel or legal practitioner in a law firm.
Strong experience in real estate law and industry knowledge that includes litigation, lease transactions, property management, and purchase and sale transactions.
Good understanding of foreclosure.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
Additional Information
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Solid experience in title insurance underwriting, curative, and claims.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
