Legal Counsel at Afrihood Development Company

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Responsibilities
In House Counsel:

• Serve as Company Secretary
• Negotiating, writing and executing agreements and contracts on behalf of the company
• Register, perfect land titles and sundry
• Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
• Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
• Responsible for all legal, statutory and policy matters of the company

Creative Writing:

• Create multimedia educational and informational content about organizations products and services for affiliates, clients, partners, employees and several other stakeholders.
• Research and create concise strategy document for product launch that provides clear cut guide, modus operandi and motivation for all stakeholders
• Develop original multimeida content to engage followers via social media, website articles, and newsletter.
• Contribute in the production of scripts for radio and television broadcasts, motion pictures, and other types of media content.
• Conduct extensive research on various topics related or connected to the Company's interest and create engaging content from such findings to promote company.
• Attend all meeting sessions internal and external with the aim of harvesting content ideas for broadcast
• Support the development of short and long-term organisational strategy.

Administration:

• Handle all correspondence and mails addressed to the company on every channel
• Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
• Manage entire organization’s human resource
• Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate business operations
• Manage schedules and deadlines
• Monitor inventory of business supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints
• Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
• Organize and supervise other business activities (training, meetings, event planning etc.)
• Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3 to 5 years of Law practice experience
• Demonstrated experience working in managerial role
• High level discipline and integrity
• Prompt & Effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Organized, strong attention to detail, and process-oriented
• Energetic and flexible
• Reliable, independent, and able to juggle multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure and without supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft office tools
• Proficient with digital alternatives in Business Administration.
