    Learning and Development Manager

    Job Summary:

    • The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development initiatives that enhance employee skills, performance, and organizational capability. The role ensures alignment between learning programs and business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic & Organizational Development Role

    core Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute the organization’s learning and development strategy aligned with business goals
    • Support talent management initiatives including succession planning and leadership development
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
    • Aligning L&D strategy with workforce planning and organizational capability gaps
    • Partner with senior leadership to identify future skill requirements
    • Develop annual L&D roadmap and calendar
    • Drive organizational change initiatives through structured learning interventions
    • Embed learning culture into performance management systems

    Training Needs Analysis & Program Design Role

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Conduct training needs analysis across departments and levels
    • Design, deliver and evaluate training programs (leadership, technical, compliance, soft skills, onboarding, etc.)
    • Conduct competency mapping and skills gap assessments
    • Design structured onboarding framework for new hires
    • Develop role-based learning paths for employees
    • Create leadership acceleration programs
    • Develop internal faculty/trainer framework
    • Standardized training curriculum and materials

    Learning Delivery & Facilitation Role

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Manage learning delivery methods including workshops, e-learning, coaching, and blended learning
    • Facilitate high-impact leadership and management training sessions
    • Implement coaching and mentoring programs
    • Coordinate external certifications and professional development programs
    • Ensure accessibility and inclusiveness in learning delivery

    · Evaluate facilitator effectiveness and improve delivery quality

    Learning Operations & Administration Role

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and training records
    • Ensure compliance with statutory and professional training requirements
    • Maintain accurate training database and employee learning history
    • Manage mandatory compliance training calendar
    • Prepare training reports for audit and regulatory purposes
    • Track certification renewals and professional memberships
    • Develop internal L&D policies and SOPs

    Performance Measurement & Reporting Role

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and report on training effectiveness, ROI, and key learning metrics
    • Develop KPIs and learning dashboards
    • Conduct post-training impact assessments (Level 1–4 evaluation model)
    • Track behavioral and performance improvements post-training
    • Present quarterly L&D reports to executive management
    • Benchmark learning metrics against industry standards

    Budgeting & Vendor Management Role

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Manage L&D budgets and external training vendors/consultants
    • Prepare annual L&D budget forecast
    • Negotiate vendor contracts and SLAs
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ROI
    • Manage training procurement process
    • Ensure cost-effective learning solutions

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or related field (master’s degree is an advantage)
    • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in learning and development or HR, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
