    Learner Affairs Specialist (Success Advisor)

    What You’ll Be Owning

    • Learner Outreach: Proactively engage with learners to ensure they are on track to achieve their academic goals, maintaining regular communication through email, phone, and live sessions.
    • Query and Case Management: Provide exceptional support by addressing learner inquiries and resolving cases promptly, ensuring all service needs are met within deadlines.
    • Advising Sessions: Guide learners through academic planning and progress, offering personalized advice from orientation to graduation.
    • Webinars and Live Sessions: Host and participate in interactive sessions to deliver comprehensive program guidance and foster a sense of community among learners.
    • Learner Advocacy: Serve as a mentor and advocate, addressing challenges and ensuring learners feel supported throughout their educational journey.
    • University Engagement: Actively participate in university meetings, departmental initiatives, and cross-functional projects, contributing to the growth and success of Nexford.
    • Operational Excellence: Leverage technology tools like Canvas LMS, Microsoft Suite, Freshdesk, PowerBI, and HubSpot to streamline processes, track learner progress, and enhance the overall advising experience.

    Skills and Qualifications

    We value a diverse pool of candidates who bring a combination of skills, experience, and the right mindset to our team. While we don't expect every candidate to have every point, here are some skills and qualifications that would make you a great fit for this role:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
    • At least 3 years of professional experience in academic advising and/or teaching in higher education
    • Excellent academic advising and counselling skills
    • High emotional quotient, sound judgement, and solid decision-making skills appropriate for NXU’s fast paced and entrepreneurial culture
    • Strong customer service orientation and English communication skills: both verbal and written
    • Experience with a direct customer service role is a plus
