Land Development Supervisor at Dangote

Job Summary

A candidate with a strong background in agricultural mechanization. Knowledge in Land development procedures i.e., Ploughing harrowing GPS Leveling and auto guided ridging / drip inspection and mechanical covering. This role will involve collaborating with land development officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Looking after and coordinating all land development activities, ploughing harrowing, GPS levelling and ridging or drip inspection all atomized.
• Coordinating workshops for breakdown and maintenance and fueling of machines.
• Manage effective communication with workshops and land development manager.
• Maintain organized records of all land development-related documents and correspondence.
• Ensure milestones and deadlines are met, with proper documentation of changes.
• Monitor the execution and performance of operators and machinery per operation as per time lines.
• Provide regular reports on project progress status, deliverables, and performance metrics to the management.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanical Engineering, survey or another related field.
• Experience in managing land preparation related to agriculture, irrigation systems.
• Minimum of (2) years of experience in Land development operations.

Skill and Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of Agricultural mechanization (e.g. GPS) guided in ploughing, harrowing, leveling and ridging) and as well as familiarity with the standards and sequence of land development
• Ability to understand survey terminology and field designs particularly GPS leveling.
• Ability to manage labor and Machinery to minimize loses in overshooting budgets
•   Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
