Laboratory Analyst - Microbiologist at LS Scientific

Job Summary

• Analysis of Food, Water, Wastewater, Pharmaceutical Products, Cosmetic Products, Personal Care products and other products covered under the scope of LS Scientific Laboratory Registration.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis of food, Water, Wastewater, Pharmaceutical Products, Cosmetic Products, Personal Care products and products covered under the scope of LS Scientific Laboratory Registration.
• Maintain the management system and ensure that it’s implemented inside the laboratory.
• Ensure that all results generated in the Laboratory are accurate, credible, and reliable and in line with approved analytical standards such as NIS, ISO and relevant standards.
• Ensure all chemicals and reagents used in the Lab are within their Expiry Period.
• Monitor and record the environmental conditions (Temperature and Humidity) of the Microbiology Unit .
• Update Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions in the microbiology Laboratory.
• Monthly report of Laboratory Inventory (Media, Supplements, Chemicals, glassware’s, and Consumables) and equipments.
• Monitor/ ensures that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory.
• Ensure routine calibration of Laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a BSc / HND in Microbiology is compulsory.
• Minimum of 2 years' cognate experience, preferably in a public laboratory.
• Familiarity withlaboratory equipment.
• Strong intellectual, analytical, and communication skills
• Problem-solver, result-oriented and high-integrity index.
