Job Brief

• The Kitchen Assistant will support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties while maintaining proper hygiene and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces and work areas.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of kitchen items.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain kitchen hygiene.
• Assist with receiving and arranging kitchen supplies.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Must be hardworking, reliable, and attentive to detail.
