Kitchen Assistant at Greywood Hotels and Apartments

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth running of our hotel kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role is essential for keeping kitchen operations efficient and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools promptly and properly.
• Receive, unpack, and store food supplies in designated areas following proper storage procedures.
• Dispose of kitchen waste safely and in compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Refill kitchen stock (spices, ingredients, utensils) as directed by the Chef or Cook.
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by running errands or carrying out quick prep tasks.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
