Assist in the preparation of meals according to hospital menus and patient dietary needs (including special diets, allergies, and cultural/religious requirements).
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, storage, and service areas in compliance with infection control and food safety policies.
Wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils, dishes, trays, and equipment.
Ensure correct storage of food items, monitoring stock rotation (First-In-First-Out) and reporting shortages or damages.
Assist in plating and serving meals to patients while ensuring accuracy of diet orders.
Collect, clean, and return patient meal trays in a timely manner.
Dispose of waste safely in accordance with hospital and environmental guidelines.
Follow all health & safety, food hygiene, and infection control regulations.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations of the hospital kitchen.
Report equipment faults, safety hazards, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
