Job Summary

• The Kitchen Assistant will support the kitchen team with food preparation, portioning, packaging, and maintaining hygiene standards. The ideal candidate must be hardworking, clean, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation—washing, chopping, and prepping ingredients.
• Support cooking of basic dishes under supervision.
• Portion and package meals accurately for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and work areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients and supplies.
• Adhere to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Assist the cook/chef with daily kitchen tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role.
• Basic cooking and meal-prep skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during peak periods.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Trustworthy, punctual, and committed.
