Kitchen Assistant at Above Lifestyle

Core Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Assist with chopping vegetables, slicing produce, portioning meat, and performing basic cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs. Prepare ingredients for meals, follow recipes, and ensure food is handled hygienically and prepared to required standards.
• Kitchen Maintenance and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. This includes washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Manage waste disposal and keep the kitchen organized at all times.
• Stocking and Inventory: Restock ingredients, pantry items, and kitchen supplies. Monitor inventory levels, store food properly, and assist with receiving deliveries to ensure the kitchen remains fully equipped.
• Supporting Staff and Service: Provide hands-on support to chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently. Assist with table setup, food service, and accommodating specific dietary needs or requests where necessary.
• Record-Keeping and Equipment Management: Maintain records of ingredients, recipes, and kitchen supplies where required. Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, organized, and in good working condition.
