    Junior Registrar in Radiology

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Registrar in Radiology to join our dynamic Radiology Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a doctor pursuing specialist training in diagnostic imaging to develop clinical expertise while working alongside experienced consultant radiologists in a supportive learning environment.
    • The successful candidate will participate in the provision of high-quality diagnostic imaging services, multidisciplinary patient care, and academic activities, while contributing to the department's commitment to excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies under appropriate supervision.
    • Assist in reporting X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic examinations according to training level.
    • Participate in image-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with referring clinicians to support timely and accurate patient diagnosis and management.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and departmental teaching sessions.
    • Take part in the departmental on-call rota where applicable.
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with departmental protocols and quality assurance standards.
    • Participate in audit, research, and continuous professional development activities.
    • Ensure adherence to radiation safety principles and infection prevention policies.

    Essential Requirements

    • Medical Degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent).
    • Full registration and current license to practice with the relevant Medical and Dental Council.
    • Successful completion of internship and any mandatory national service where applicable.
    • Enrolment in, or eligibility for, a recognized postgraduate radiology training programme.
    • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to high standards of patient care.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to ethical medical practice and continuous learning.
