IVD Application Specialist at Ikons Biomed Technology Limited

We are seeking a highly skilled application specialist to join the engineerig team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing application softwares and, providing strategic knowledge and support, to high end clients. This role requires a blend of strong team-spirit, and hands-on experience

Reporting Line:

The Application Specialist will report directly to the Engineering Manager

Job Description.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding the use and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to laboratory applications and devices.
• Work closely with the technical service team to resolve complex technical problems and ensure minimal downtime for customers.

Customer Training and Education:

• Conduct training sessions for customers on the proper usage, maintenance, and best practices of laboratory instruments.
• Develop and deliver educational materials, including user manuals, guides, and online tutorials to enhance customer understanding.
• Provide ongoing support and education to customers to ensure they achieve optimal use of laboratory applications.

Product Demonstration and Sales Support:

• Assist the sales team by providing detailed product demonstrations to potential customers, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of laboratory instruments.
• Clearly explain the features, benefits, and applications of laboratory products to customers, tailoring information to their specific needs.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their needs.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum of B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Science or Microbiology.or other science related disciplines
• Preferrably a female for gender balance
• Minimum of 3 years of bench experience in a laboratory setting.
• Must be a scientist with a major in Chempathology.
• Strong understanding of laboratory instruments, applications, and maintenance procedures.
• Must have good knowledge of computer including MS Office 365 & Teams
• Must have good planning and customer relationship skills.
• Must reside in close proximity.to work location
• Knowledge of laboratory workflow and information systems
• Strong ability to effectively collaborate with team to meet up with deadlines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (manners) to effectively train and educate customers.
• Ability to collaborate with sales and technical teams to support customer needs.
