IT Support Officer at ITC Advisory Services

Job Summary

• The ICT & Electronic Systems Solution Development Unit Staff will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining the ITC ERMS platform, unifying all revenue reporting platforms, developing wallet collection systems, and creating new revenue products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade the ERMS platform (now ITC ERMS) to ensure it is efficient and effective in collecting taxes, levies, charges, fees and other related fiscal items within the informal sector
• Unify all revenue reporting platforms to create a more cohesive and streamlined process for reporting and tracking revenue.
• Develop wallet collection systems for all streams of revenue, making it easier for taxpayers to pay their taxes and for the state government to collect revenue
• Develop new revenue products and services to increase the IGR of the state government
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate the ERMS platform with other systems and processes
• Analyze user requirements and design and develop appropriate software solutions
• Develop and maintain appropriate documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and user guides
• Perform software testing and debugging to ensure that software products are reliable and defect-free
• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize the developed systems and products

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in software development or related field
• Strong technical skills in software development and database management
• Excellent understanding of software development methodologies and programming languages such as Java, PHP, or Python, C# , MVC , WEB API
• Good knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle
• Proficient in the use of software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Jenkins
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
